As an IB PYP campus, we believe students grow as
communicators and caring individuals when families and
schools work in partnership. This Bullying Behavior Checklist
from Texas State University is what our district uses to
determine if any incident constitutes bullying. The checklist
also provides a simple way to talk with your child about
friendships, empathy, and taking responsible action. If you
have any questions or need further assistance, please
contact Mr. Figueroa at John.Figueroa@ccisd.us

AR Goals for the first grading period will be shared with students this week.

The expectation for our WP Owls is that all students will achieve their AR goals every marking period. This consists of two parts: average percent correct must be 85% or greater and point goal is met.

Please provide dedicated time each day for your child to read aloud with you in lower grades and independently in upper grades. Please also your child questions about their AR goals.

On rainy days, students in first and second grades may need to stay inside during dismissal and come to the front as you arrive for pick up. Your child's teacher will send a Dojo message to let you know if we need to use the rainy day protocol. If so, you’ll message the teacher when you arrive to campus, and we’ll send your child to the front vestibule to be escorted safely to you.

Students in grades 3-5 will be under the awning on the Sheridan Street side as per usual unless blowing rain or lightning make conditions unsafe. In that instance, students will be seated just inside the doors on the Sheridan Street side and we will release them to awaiting cars and parents as you arrive.

Any parent may drop students off at the front door of the school or at the Sheridan Street carpool area beginning at 7:30 am.

After the school, the front of the school is reserved for Grades 1 & 2 pickup, and the Sheridan Street side if for grades 3-5 pickup.

All bus students are dropped off and picked up in the bus loop outside the cafeteria.
