🧬🔍 Honors Biology: ADI Lab Argumentation Session ✨🎓
Mrs. Markert's Honors Biology students just completed Stage 5 of their ADI Lab on Meiosis—the share session! 💡 ADI (Argument-Driven Inquiry) takes learning to the next level with multiple stages over several days.
Students constructed their arguments to answer a guiding question and presented their findings on giant whiteboards 🖍️. Through a gallery walk, classmates explored each presentation, engaging in discussions and sharpening their critical thinking and presentation skills. 🎤👏
A fantastic way to show what you know and grow in science and communication! 🌟 Great job, everyone!

Our Carroll CTE program had the pleasure of hosting 6th-grade students from Tom Browne Middle School in our shop! 🛠️ This amazing opportunity allowed our future Tigers to get a hands-on lesson in worksite safety and the skills that our Career and Technical Education (CTE) program offers.🥽🔨
With guidance from our Carroll students and staff, the 6th graders even built birdhouses 🐦 and got a glimpse into the incredible pathways available to them. This was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved and we’re excited to see the bright futures of both our current and future students! Thank you to Mr. Delgado and Mr. Holland for facilitating this unique and unforgettable experience!🌟👏💙🩵🐅 #TPND #WeAreCarroll #FutureBuilders #CTE #construction #woodworking

🗳️📚 Engaging Students in Election Prep! 📚🗳️
Check out these photos from an election lesson organized by Mrs. Tabitha Long! 🗂️ She collaborated with Abbott's, Marsello's, and Sinjlawi's classes to help students learn more about the candidates running in the upcoming election. This hands-on activity kept students super engaged as they explored information on the candidates and issues.
A huge thank you to Mrs. Long and her team for creating an informative experience that supports our students’ understanding of the election process! 👏🇺🇸

📚✨ Exploring Culture Through Reading: ENG 2 Honors Projects ✨📚
Our English 2 Honors students with Mrs. Zimmerman have spent the first part of the school year diving into books that explore the theme of cultural understanding. 🌍📖 After choosing a book from the list, they engaged in book club discussions, quizzes, and assignments to deepen their insight and critical thinking. Now that they’ve finished, it’s time for the grand finale—creating Bloom Balls!
Each Bloom Ball reflects students’ critiques on cultural significance, reviews of the book, illustrations of the setting, and more. 🌸🎨 We’re excited to display these amazing projects in the classroom and throughout the hallway to celebrate their hard work! Big shoutout to Ms. Weber for this fantastic project idea! 👏

🌍🧱 Learning Landforms with LEGO Bricks! 🧱🌍
Our AE students are getting hands-on with geography in a fun, creative way! Using LEGO bricks, they’re building mountains, valleys, plateaus, rivers, and more to explore the world of landforms. This interactive lesson not only helps them visually understand different topographical features but also lets them experience the building process for a deeper connection to each concept! 🏔️🏞️🌊
With images, diagrams, and a little imagination, our young geographers are constructing landscapes brick by brick. Who knew learning geography could be this fun? 👏💡

🧪🔬 Do Cell Sizes Really Matter? Our AP Biology Students Put It to the Test! 🔬🧪
Our AP Bio students explored cell size and diffusion using red cabbage-dyed agar cubes of different sizes to see how quickly vinegar could penetrate each one. 🟪➡️🥒 Math, science, and hands-on fun all rolled into one experiment! 📐+📊+🔍
These budding scientists got a firsthand look at how size affects diffusion rates—making biology come to life in a whole new way. 🧠💡 Way to dive into discovery, team! 👏

📚✨ If You Give AP English Lang & Comp Students a Children’s Book and a Chromebook… ✨📚
…they’ll dig deeper! 🤓 Our AP Lang students are taking on a unique challenge by analyzing children’s books to explore line of reasoning, rhetorical choices, and how arguments unfold—even in the simplest stories! 🧩💭
Who knew a picture book could offer so much insight? 👀📖 We’re so proud of the critical thinking these students bring to every page! 👏
